BRIO DOLLHOUSE, LUNDBY DOLLHOUSE, PLASTIC FRONT COVERS TO KEEP AWAY THE DUST.

Feel free to visit my dollpage Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ About dolls and dollshouses

"Keep away the dust from your dollhouses that has no front doors."

Since I do not want a lot of dust in my dollhouses, I have
made simple plastic covers for the cabinets fronts. The
picture shows how I have attached them on my Brio Houses.
I have these type of covers on my Lundby houses to.
I have used postal clips and velcro to my plastic covers.
Easy to remove and put them back again when you want.
I made a model/pattern of paper first.
There are other ways to attach them, without damaging the
edges of the houses.

LUNDBY BATHROOM 2012, MY NEW DOLLHOUSE BATHROOM

Feel free to visit my dollpage Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ About dolls and dollshouses

I could not resist the new bathroom from Lundby so
I boughtit. I think it's really neat especially the bathtub,
so now I willreplace my old "Barton" bathroom in one
of my dollhousesto this. Lundby and Brio dollhouses
are made in scale 1:18 so the furniture are rather small.

MORE RENOVATION. LUNDBY SITTING CHAIR

Feel free to visit my dollpage Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ About dolls and dollshouses

I had a Lundby sitting chair that was broken in three places.

It looked nice, so I decided to make a little renovation.

One of the chair feets was broken and lost, so I made
that peace of Fimo clay, glued it together and painted it
with silver. I also had to fastened the plastic peace that
hold the chair up, with a screw. It worked and now I can
use the chair in one of my Lundby houses.

Since we did not have a kitchen table for the new house,
I have renovated an old table. It looket very played with
and had a broken leg. I found out that I had four old
chairs that I like. I renovated the table so it looks the
same as them.  This is how it turned out!

looked before.

LUNDBY DOLLHOUSES WITH BALCONY/TERRACE

Feel free to visit my dollpage Min Hemsida/My Homepage

http://lilsdolls.se/ Dolls and Dollshouses

I like the new doll´s house from Lundby. It
has a balcony attached to the right gable.
I think that Doll´s houses with balconys or
terraces looksso inviting!

LUNDBY SMÅLAND 2011-2012.

friend. I kept the balcony and some furniture.
(This house was for the family children to play with.)
I think this dollshouse was renamed to Småland when
they started to make the houses in plastic material.

DOLLHOUSE CHAIRS VARIOUS SIZES, DOCKSKÅPSSTOLAR OLIKA STORLEKAR

Feel free to visit - Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ about Dolls and Dollshouse

A while ago I started to take photos of my dollhouse
furniture, both the ones that I use and the ones
that are still packed in cartons. Sometimes I wonder
what I have bought and have to go throught everything.

Maybe this will make it easier for me. I hope so....

I am showing some of my dollhouse chairs. Some of
these are in use. I think it is fun to compare the sizes!
The Lundby, Brio and Renwall chairs are so tiny in
comparison with the 1:12 chairs that I have.

Some of my dollhouse chairs.

A closer look. The old  1950´s Lundby chair to the left
is 3,4 cm high and all the others are only 3 cm high
from the seat to the floor.

A closer look. These chairs are 3,8 cm high from seat
to the floor (The seat cusions not included). They can
still be bought in dollhouse shops and at Indiska here
in Sweden.

ALLMOGE DOLLSHOUSE MINIATURE FURNITURE

Feel free to visit - Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ about Dolls and Dollshouse

I think this is a fun little story
with reference to Droras Bavarian Furniture.

Not long ago Drora at blog-link: Droras minimundo
publisheda post of what she called “Bavarian
Furniture” that she had received as a gift.

I was sure that I had seen some of these furniture
before, so I looked in one of my old catalogues from
year 1998 and I found dollhouse furniture in the same
series as her Bavarian furniture, from year 1998.
Some of them looks like hers. They were sold by a
company for hobby material called "Direct Trade AB"
here in Sweden. It is a hobby/Internet and postorder
shop.

I think that it is fun that I remembered them and that I
have saved the catalogue all these years. But these
furniture  are special I must say. So it seems that
these kind of furniture was sold in more then one c
ountry. Don´t know the manufacturing country.

The style with the flowers and the patterns on the
furniture looks like the Swedish real sized old country
furniture called “Allmoge–Furniture”, from the 18th
and 19th centuries. These kind of furniture were build
and painted in a lot of villages and places in the
countryside by different local carpenters and
painters in Sweden at that time. All the painters had to
here own style, patterns and colours. They are now
collecting objects.

I know that a lot of the real sized furniture has been
bought by collectors.“all over the world” at antique
auctions. They love them. That is now a problem for
antique lovers in Sweden, because to many furniture
has left Sweden andthey are now in other countries.
A lot of them (for example), in the USA.

The photo above is a real sized Allmoge furniture.  It is
just asmall photo but interesting to see I think.

LUNDBY MINIATURE BATCHAIR AND A REAL SIZED BATCHAIR FROM THE 1950´S

Feel free to visit - Min Hemsida/My Homepage
http://lilsdolls.se/ about Dolls and Dollshouse

I found two 1950´s armchairs in natural sizes, when we
visited our big antique shop the other day. The owner
let me take photos of them. They look a lot like two
of my miniature armshairs that I have in my Lundby
dollhouses. I think it is fun to compare them to each
other………

This is a real sized Bat chair from the 1950´s
(läderlappsfåtölj) that I found in our antiques
shop, Möbelmagasinet in Katrineholm. It can
be folded like an umbrella.

This is my Lundby miniature batchairs.

Here is some more of the old Swedish Lundby/Lerro
furniture that I really like. Some of these furniture is
very hard to find in nice condition. The paint seems
to have dried on many of the furniture and is partly
falling of.

Feel free to visit my dollpage Min Hemsida/
My Homepage http://lilsdolls.se/ Dolls and
Dollshouses

I love the "AB Lundby Leksaksfabrik in Lerum",
furnitures from year 1940´s - 1950´s.

This is a little "closer look" at the bedroom
furniturethat I have in one of my old Lundby
Doll´s Houses.These are from year 1947 and
was on the marked forseveral years.

The prints on the textiles was typical 1940´-50´s
patterns that were used in different versions and
colours. Very pretty.

Bed with two small bed tables for the grown ups
and a dressing table with a stool.

Two smaller beds, perhaps for the teen-age
children

Bed får the younger children. The size can bee
changed as the children grow up. Funny.

Product. Scale 1:10

A metal stroller made in Germany from 1950´s.
It has metal/rubber wheels. Scale 1:10.

This pram is from the 1990´s so it is not so old. It is
made of metal. I think it still is to find on the dollhouse
market.Scale 1:12.

This little pram is from The Forrest Family dollhouse.
I think it is cute. Do not know the scale.
It is a little smaller than 1:12.
