We have a very warm and beautiful summer here in Sweden. ☀ It has been a little to hot to work a lot with miniatures but I have done some small things that I will show later on. Hope everybody is well. Here is some photos I have taken of our town.
Here in Sweden we have a fantastic summer with very warm and nice weather. Hope it is as nice where you live. Made this post after receiving some requests about it. Some Museum and Shops in Stockholm, Sweden, worth visiting. "Please click on the Links for info."
Small
Dolls, Dollhouse shop in Stockholm,a real store plus web store. Mostly
Barbie, old dolls and Swedish elderly dollhouses and toys. (Belongs to a friend).
In the middle of everything that is happening here, I decided to take some time and make a Maypole-Midsummerpole in miniature. I did not want it to be to big and I am quite happy with the result. I think the dollhouse family and their guests likes it. Hope you like it. " A warm Welcome to my new followers" ♥
Maypole/Midsummerpole
Midsummer Celebrations. The family are still waiting for more guests.
On Friday, we celebrate Midsummer here in Sweden. It is the day of the year, when we have the longest daylight This is just a little post with some flowers and a video of Common ways to celebrate this fun tradition.
Hope everybody is feeling well. "Still working on my nursery."
This room box will be a small nursery. I found a basket in a shop that looked like a room. Could not resist buying it. Now I shall furnish it with some white furniture I have had for years and make many accessories for the room. It will be fun. I printed out the wallpapers on my photo printer and used the extra fine specialty papers for good pictures, with a good end result. Here I show the childrens unfurnished room. I will have to take away some paint stains that have ended up on the box.

Now I will make a lot of things for this Nursery Roombox.
My New Nursery.
Added some material to the floor because it was a bit uneven.
Now I've finally found the "Petite Princess Royal Grand Piano and Stool." on Internet. The other day the postman came home to me with it. I'm so happy because I've been looking for several years without finding this on the Swedish auction sites. They are very rare here in Sweden. This is a part of the "Petite Princess Fantasy Furniture" by Ideal, whose dollhouse furniture is incredibly wellmade. I like it partly because it has piano keys, that really looks like real keys. On the ones I have before, the keys are made of paper. I think this grand piano is so beautiful with the nice decor. ♩♬ ♪ ♫
(This is the same kind that "Xandra" has as header on her wonderful blog. To see her blog = press on her name above).
One of my Favorite Trees: Hängbok 'Fagus sylvatica'
Pendula'. This little tree grows in Södertälje, Sweden and I could see
it, when I was on my
way to work or to the center of the town, when I lived
there. It
feels like it tells a bit of
history, because I think it is very, very old. The branches form a nice cave under the tree. I am sharing these photos
because I can not find so
many photos of these kind of trees on the Internet.
This "Little Miss Ginger" Cosmopolitan doll from the 1950's, that I found in Sollentuna Fair in Stockholm, looked so miserable so I bought her and rerooted her hair. It's actually a pretty tricky job. Little Miss Ginger with white hair is quite rare, so I decided to save this doll from a sad fate. She looked so sad before she got the new hair, poor thing. I sewed a new dress for her in the same style as the original dresses and I also made a necklace. Now I think she looks like a real nice lady. Glad I saved her. Below you can see before and after photos.
♥♥♥ In the photo below you can see my first Little Miss Ginger doll that was in complete and good condition when I bought her.
I finally got time to do some new things for one of my dollhouses. I have made a bedspread and pillows to an iron bed that had for a long time, but not used before. In the photos you can see that Mr. and Mrs. Caco inspects what I have done. Hope they are happy with it. Guess Mr. Caco probably likes the pillow that does not have any lace best! I made it especially for him. ♥
